About Us

We are a team of professionals who have doctoral and pre-doctoral trainings, along with national and international exposures. The team has also contributed a number of chapters in books, and articles in well- circulated publishing houses and journals. The team is currently working in six languages Bodo, Assamese, Nepali, Bengali, Hindi, and English.

Co-founders

Pallabi Deka, Head of the Translation Branch

She has completed M.Phil. from the Department of Political Science, Dibrugarh University, and has expertise in the field of body politics, feminism, ethnography, memory, etc. She has presented her work in national and international platforms. Her academic works are published by international publishers including Routledge publication. Her involvement in the field of translation is not only professional, but also promotes reformist and feminist cause. Co-translation of comic 'Menstrupedia' to Assamese is one such example. She has also been the editor of the Assamese Menstrupedia comic. In addition, she also has the experience of working with Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Japan, which provides funding to promotion of peace. She has also been associated with different projects with the renowned feminist publishing house Zubaan (New Delhi). Her photo series 'the half locked door' was published by Zubaan's 'through her lense' series, which was also featured in 'Mumbai Mirror', a Mumbai based news daily.

Deboleena Sengupta, Head of Editorial Branch

She is a doctoral student of Political Science from OKDISCD, Guwahati, who has travelled extensively to the remote areas of West Bengal and NE India. She has presented her research work in India, Thailand and Kyrgyzstan. Apart from the core discipline, she was introduced to the sociological, anthropological and political-economic aspects of human society, during the course of her research study. She has contributed to publishing houses, such as Economic and Political Weekly and Orient BlackSwan, with her writings. She has also dedicated her time and energy to learning Quantum Physics and Yogic Sciences, which further developed an interdisciplinary approach in her. She promotes the merge of Inner Science and Social Sciences for having a holistic outlook to human life. She has seven years of working experience with national and international NGOs, entrepreneurs and start-ups that work with different departments of Government of India. She has also worked as a Medical Editor for more than a year. Besides, she herself is a daily practitioner of yoga and meditation that adds to her knowledge of awareness.
